Incentive travel in Koh Samui
This is what the island does best. A five-night reward programme can combine a private-island charter into Ang Thong, a longtail-and-beach dinner on an otherwise empty bay, a jungle waterfall morning and a final-night gala on the sand. The short drive times mean two experiences a day is realistic. Villa buyouts, spa allocation and upgrade inventory all give the programme visible tiers of reward.
Samui is an incentive destination first. The island is roughly 25 kilometres across, ringed by a single main road, and the resort stock leans towards low-rise beachfront properties with strong villa inventory. That profile suits reward programmes, senior leadership offsites and product launches where the room product matters more than the ballroom. It is a deliberately different proposition from the mainland MICE cities, and we position it that way.

- February - August
- Group size
- 15 - 300 delegates
- Getting there
- Direct services from Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket and Chiang Mai into the island's open-air terminal.
Experiences we build programmes around
Access rather than catalogue bookings - most of these are relationship purchases.
Ang Thong archipelago charter
Full-day boat programme through limestone islands, with kayaking into the hidden emerald lagoon.
Na Muang waterfall and Secret Buddha Garden
Interior jungle circuit by 4x4, ending at a hillside sculpture garden with an island-wide view.
Nathon old town and coconut coast
Working port town, Chinese shophouses and the coconut plantations that ran the island before tourism.
Sunset catamaran to Koh Tan
Southern reef sail with snorkelling, canapes and a return under sail into the sunset.
What a Koh Samui incentive includes
- Ang Thong marine park charters with private lunch anchorage
- Catamaran and speedboat sunset sailings from the north and west coasts
- Beach dinners on private bays reached only by boat
- Villa upgrades and spa allocation as built-in recognition tiers
Team activities and group formats
Every activity day is built with at least two intensity levels so nobody is excluded.
- Longtail boat build-and-race on a calm north-coast beach
- Island treasure hunt linking Big Buddha, Fisherman's Village and the Lamai coast
- Thai island cooking challenge using coconut, seafood and produce sourced at Nathon market
- Beach clean and reef briefing run with a local marine conservation group
Gala dinner and offsite venues
- Private bay dinner reached by longtail flotilla, with fire and drum arrival
- Fisherman's Village street closure for a night-market-style gala
- Clifftop beach club buyout timed to sunset over the Gulf
- Coconut plantation dinner under strung lighting, 20 minutes inland
Private and event venues in Koh Samui
- Beachfront resort ballrooms, Chaweng and Bophut The island's main indoor capacity, typically 150-400 theatre style in the larger properties.
- Ang Thong National Marine Park Forty-two-island archipelago reached by charter for day programmes; a park with no event facilities, so catering is brought in.
- Fisherman's Village, Bophut Heritage Chinese-shophouse street that can be partially closed for street-format dinners and market takeovers.
- Wat Phra Yai (Big Buddha) and Bangrak headland Island landmark and viewpoint used as a ceremonial arrival or photography point rather than a dinner venue.
- Private beach clubs, north and west coasts Buyout venues for 80-250 guests with sunset orientation and in-house sound.
Ground handling detail
- The airport operates limited slots and premium fares; we hold group seats early and quote Surat Thani plus ferry as a costed alternative for larger groups
- The island ring road is single carriageway and congests through Chaweng at peak hours; coach movements are scheduled around 08:00 and 17:00
- Large-coach inventory on the island is finite, so groups above 120 typically move as staged minibus convoys with a lead escort vehicle
- October to December is the local monsoon, the reverse of the Andaman coast; we plan marine content only inside the February to August window
Designing your programme
The measure of an incentive is whether your winners tell the story afterwards. Give us the qualifier profile and the per-head budget and we will design a Koh Samui programme around what that group will actually value.
